2025/3/13

Compact size, powerful capabilities: creating healthier smart homes

Murata China, a leading global manufacturer of electronic components, will participate in Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from March 20 to 23, 2025, at Hall W4, Booth 4A40. Murata will present a diverse portfolio including positive/negative ion generators, lithium-ion batteries, wireless modules, sensors and MLCCs. The exhibits will demonstrate its technical capabilities in intelligent appliances and help consumers create healthier, more comfortable and smarter homes.

Rapid advances in IoT and AI are accelerating the appliance industry's transition toward intelligence. Consumer expectations have evolved from individual functions to comprehensive experiences encompassing health, convenience and environmental responsibility. Appliance manufacturers face both technology upgrade and cost control challenges. As an Innovator in Electronics, Murata builds on its extensive electronic components expertise to introduce smaller, highly integrated, low power and efficient products. These innovations support intelligent appliance upgrades and address both space constraints and functional requirements.

Murata will demonstrate mature, innovative product combinations and solutions across smart living applications:

Continuous innovation for healthier living spaces

Murata will showcase its upgraded positive/negative ion generator MHM330 and negative ion generator MHM324. The Auto Balance MHM330 module uses a proprietary circuit design to reduce ±1,000 V static electricity to below ±100 V in one second or less, ultimately approaching 0 V, delivering strong static elimination performance. It can also help maintain skin moisture. MHM330 is suitable for commercial floor cleaners, coffee machines, garden tools, beauty devices, printers and shredders, improving user experience while addressing static electricity.

The upgraded negative ion generator further optimizes circuit parameters based on Murata's distinctive high voltage technology. The MHM324 module produces a higher negative ion concentration, releasing more than eight million ions/cc shortly after startup to rapidly capture smoke and remove odors. It suits various air and environmental purification devices and is already widely used in air purifiers and air conditioners to support clean, healthy homes.

Safe, reliable power for stable and efficient everyday use

Murata's lithium-ion batteries support stable, sustained appliance operation. Its range covers capacities from 2.5 to 4.0 Ah and supports continuous high current discharge at 10C, with options optimized for low or high temperatures. Features include high power, high stability, fast charging and high safety. Beyond conventional cells, the exhibition will feature new full-tab cell technology, opening further possibilities for high power appliances. Murata cells are widely used in rechargeable high power products such as household vacuum cleaners, power tools and garden tools.

Flexible, seamless connectivity at the heart of smart homes

Murata will present compact, cost-effective wireless modules supporting UWB and Wi-Fi® + Bluetooth for industrial, commercial, household and consumer applications. These support smart lighting, smart homes, complex IoT applications and positioning for digital payment devices, enabling seamless connected living. Murata's UWB modules use short-range radio technology and offer high precision, high reliability and low power consumption. Its Wi-Fi® + Bluetooth modules combine reliability and security with broad compatibility, making it easier for manufacturers to customize solutions and design IoT systems, improve competitiveness and create connected homes that interact with the real world.

Murata will also present compact, low power, high sensitivity AMR sensors; compact, high voltage, reliable high voltage resistors; and various MLCCs. These products and solutions offer flexible, effective technical support for smart home end devices.

With more than 80 years of experience as a global electronic components manufacturer, Murata Manufacturing will continue focusing on healthy homes. Through innovative technologies and diverse solutions, it will help partners meet the challenges of intelligent transformation and develop a new era of intelligent, healthy living. Visitors are invited to Hall W4, Booth 4A40 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre to experience advanced technologies and discuss the industry's future.
